Happy St. Patrick's Day!

May the luck of the Irish be with all of you today!

Had to share some pictures of our little leprechaun. :-)

Big Thank You!

One thing I wanted to add on it's own. First of all thank you to all of those friends and family that have e-mailed us on our big news. And welcome to all of you new subscribers. Hope you enjoy keeping up to date with us. I do have to admit this is a great tool for that especially with all of the out of town family we have.

The next thank you goes out to my mom. I have to say a big THANK YOU to her for coming over last Tuesday and allowing me to get out of my house for a few hours. I had been penned in with Zack and his flu virus and had not been out in over a week. Darin's had worked the entire weekend of March 1st and 2nd. His big work project finally went in and he spent the night downtown so I couldn't escape on the weekend. I truly appreciated the break!! The walls were caving in!

The next thank you goes to my friend Tricia from my ECFE group. She was so sweet to drop Zack and I a "Fun pack". Snacks, bubbles, discovery cards and greeting cards as well as ideas to break up the monotony of being in the house. It was such a great surprise. Zack LOVES the bubbles!! She knew that being cooped up for a week with her son a while back was no fun and the amount of time we had been cooped up because of him or I being sick, she couldn't imagine! Thanks again Tricia!

The last thank you goes to my sister Molly. On Wednesday of last week I took Zack into the Dr. again because his cold wasn't getting better and it didn't seem like a dry cough they described for the flu bug. Everything turned out fine and I found out he was no longer contagious. So when Molly found out about this she called me and broke Zack and I out of the house for dinner. Both of our husbands have been working late nights since the conversion at Darin's work, well, Josh's work too. They work for the same company. So it was a girls, plus Zack, night out. :-) It was so great to get out again and join the real world.

It is so great to know we have such wonderful friends and family surrounding us. My mom always says, "It takes a village to raise a child" and I am truly learning that there is a lot of truth to this saying.

Updates on some older posts

So I'm actually at my sister Megan's house and I'm being forced to blog. :-) Adrienne is asleep and Meg is dancing with Zack and the dogs. I thought I'd do a few updates on some older blogs.

Has the Nudist been seen again? He certainly has. One morning I got the dreaded naked boy with dirty diaper off! Yuck! Since then we've wised up a bit and put a onsie on him every night. Before we put either a onsie or a t-shirt on underneath. He hasn't seemed to figure out how to get the onsie off yet so most mornings I walk into the room and he is sitting in his onsie. "Hi Mommy... Jammies" and I get handed the jammies. I have a feeling it won't be long before he figures out the onsie because there have been a few afternoons after his nap that he has his pants unsnapped. We'll see.

Is he still an escape artist out of his crib? No, I think Auntie Mo cured that one. He had climbed out three times on his own. Then Molly was over and asked Zack to show her his trick. Well he fell on the way down and since then he hasn't tried getting out. Thanks Mo! :-)

What else can I tell you? Oh yeah, to support our genius theory I have a picture that shows our son's ingenious way of turning on lights. He came up with it all on his own. We didn't show him at all. He takes his toy golf club and pushes the light switches up! Needless to say our electric bill may have been up in February because of this trick. :-)

He's a great helper. He loves to play with the duster, the broom and he picks up garbage and throws it away for us. He's also big into picking up his toys now too. I know this all won't last long so I'm enjoying it now. :-) He's also been very helpful with Adrienne today giving her the pacifier, whether she wants it or not. :-) He's going to make a great big brother!

He is still quite the chatter box. It's rare that he is quiet. He can count now. Usually up to 8 but he misses 6. Some of his fun words are "Opaday" = Upadaisy. He'll mention something to you like, "hungry" so you clarify with him, "Are you hungry?", "Okay" Like, "That is a great idea, I should have thought of that one". It is so funny!

That's all I can think of for now. I know I'm overdue on some pictures I'll try and add more soon. Still napping every day with Zack. Haven't kicked the 1st trimester drowsies yet so my online time is still a little limited.

Hope all of you are doing well.
