Kiley's Preschool Graduation

Today our baby girl graduated from preschool!  Can't believe she'll be off to kindergarten next year!  Where has the time gone?  Here are a few pictures from the day and a video of their performance they did for us, (all under a black light).

Needless to say Mom was crying quite a bit today!  So proud of our little lady!

Kiley's First Dance Recital

There have been a lot of first in this house lately.  This Saturday Kiley danced in her first dance recital.  She was wonderful and had a fun time.  Didn't seem nervous at all.  We were so proud of her!

Here are her videos.  First tap and then ballet.

A Little Christmas Cheer Early

This past week was lots of fun.  Both Zack and Kiley performed some Christmas songs.  Last Sunday Kiley and our niece Riley entertained the chruch crowd with their Sunday school classses.  They did a fantastic job!  Click on the link below to see the show (2 songs):

On Friday Zack and his classmates performed for a very large crowd and Zack was quite the leader!  Click on the link below to see the show (4 songs)

Kiley is 4 Going On 14!

Today our little girl turns 4!  But really she is more like 14!  :-)  She is a smart little cookie and is full of life!  She loves to dance and sing any song she can make up.  She loves to dress up and so it only seemed fitting to throw her a Fancy Nancy party, (for those of you without little girls around, she is a character from a book who loves anything fancy).  Kiley requested that everyone dress fancy and we all did!

Just for the record, Kiley picked out Darin's outfit.  Darin was going to wear his Hawaiian shirt but she said that wasn't fancy!  So he had her pick out the shirt and this is the one she chose.  He added the hat and eventually was handed Kiley's boa to add to the outfit.  :-)

So what does a 4 year old think is fancy for dinner?  Brats!  We offered steak or beer can chicken but she chose brats!  Darin says they are fancy hotdogs.  :-)

Kiley's new lefty glove she asked for to play ball with Daddy!  :-)

Yummy Cake!  So much so that my Dad was swiping mine as I took the picture!  Caught red handed!

Kiley Decided She Needed a New Haircut!!!

While talking with my Mom on the phone this afternoon Kiley decided to CUT HER HAIR!  I didn't know it until I was off the phone with Mom.
This is how much one of the clips she took off measured up to.

She trimmed a troll pencil too.

A quick trip to Snip Its and now her hair is much shorter!  Not bad at all!  Knew it could have been A LOT worse.  She didn't go after her bangs like I did at an early age.

A New Bike For Kiley

When we got a new bike for Kiley for Christmas we had no idea we'd be sharing videos of her riding her bike so soon.  She had been asking for at least a month and surprisingly in FEBRUARY we had a beautiful 60 degree day and we decided it was as good of time as any to put it together for her.  Well she loves her new bike as you can see from these first pictures of her first day riding her bike.

Anytime we have a nice day she is on her bike!  See the post below for more pictures and videos of our little speed demon!

Crusing Now

Nearly a month later she is cruising now!

And trying to keep up with her brother.

New Changes to Kiley's Room

Back in December we told you about updating the kids rooms but we wanted to make more changes to Kiley's room to make it more into a big girl room rather than the nursery with a bed in it.  After some talk with Kiley we decided to keep Daddy's clouds and the Pooh boarder but update the bottom of the wall with a more girly color and add some butterflies.  Kiley decided the color she wanted was purple and she and Daddy painted her room, (Daddy was very brave)!

It really turned out great!  I LOVE the color and with a few added touches by me here is what the room now looks like.

I couldn't find a valance with butterflies that would work so I created my own with some clip on butterflies I found at Michael's and some blinged out valances at JCP.
Then added a few more butterflies to the wall to frame her new artwork that I have had for almost 2 years now.  :-)

I'm pretty excited about how everything turned out if you can't tell.  :-)

Funny Ash Wednesday Story

Kiley and I went to an Ash Wednesday service today at our church.  I think this may have been the first time she has been to the service so this was all new to her.  She got her ashes and saw mine and imediately got mad.
Kiley: "I don't want black ashes on my head.  I don't like black."
Me: "Well what kind of ashes do you want?"
Kiley: "I want Pink!"
I told her she should tell Fr. Brad that the next time she sees him.  We'll see if she takes me up on it.  She then hid her ashes behind her bangs because I told her no one could see the black behind them.  :-)

New Rooms

Because of Kiley's collarbone we decided we needed to get Kiley in a bigger bed.  One that she wouldn't fall out of!  Here are the new set ups for the kids' rooms.
