Happy 3rd Birthday Collin!

We want to wish our wonderful Godson Collin a very happy 3rd birthday today!
We had lots of fun celebrating his birthday with him on his birthday. Zack loved playing one of Collin's favorite sports, hockey...

...playing with Collin's scooter and showing off his"scooter moves" as he called it...:-)
Running after the wagon Auntie Michelle was pulling...
...and finding golfballs for a prize...

Kiley enjoyed the kitty... :-)
And eating at the big kids table.

It was a very fun party but I think the birthday boy was pooped after a while. :-)
Hope you had a wonderful day Collin! We love you!

"Yeah Preschool!"

I put this in quotes because that is what Zack said when he found out today was the day he got to start preschool! He was pretty excited.

Even better our friend Ethan is in the same class.

Zack is attending preschool through the school district at the same building we have had all of our ECFE classes. So he's no stranger to the building or the routine. He's in what they call the Discovery 3's class on Mondays and Wednesdays in the afternoons (because he doesn't nap and I can't imagine getting the 3 of us out the door and to school by 9:00 a.m.) for 2 1/2 hours.
You may wonder how I was able to take so many pictures of him in his class. Well the set up (and the reason I chose this program) is that Monday I actually stay at school, (Kiley goes to sib care in another room). For the first 1/2 hour or so we play and then we come together for circle time to sing songs and play games. Then the parents leave to go to a room next door for our parent education time and the kids go on about their day. On Wednesday it's a typical preschool day, we drop off the kids and leave, (although Kiley and I have an ECFE class that day so I'll still be in the building). I have loved the parent education component that I've been in with the ECFE classes in the past and liked having this option again so I didn't even consider any other schools. It also gives Zack and I some one on one time to play without other things getting in the way. So it is official. My son's a preschooler. Wow!

Kiley's 1 Year Stats

Yesterday I took Kiley in for her 12 month check up. She is still a peanut!

Weight: 21 lbs. 7 oz. (50%)
Height: 30" (75%)

Here I thought she was going to be higher in the percentages. Then again when I looked back at her 10 month stats she has gone up in the weight percentage. Guess that's what happens when you aren't spitting most of it up anymore. :-)

1 Year Old?? No Way!!

Our little baby is 1 year old? That is impossible. I just can't believe how quickly the time has gone. She's got a few words now, "Puppy", "Coko", "Mama", "Daddy", "Uh-oh", "Hi", "Uppy", "Peep boo" which she loves to play and "Na, Na, Na" with the shake of her head as well for "No".

She's still our smiley happy, little mischief. She is walking really well now. Climbing stairs like a pro and getting a little grove in her too. She hears music and starts bouncing.
I'd like to say that at 12 months old she is finally done spitting up, but I can't. She got me good today! :-( She is better though. She only spits up 2-3 times a week rather than 2-3 times a day. We so need to clean our carpets!

Added Later:
So Kiley and I actually were up at 2:44 AM this morning. She woke up around 2:30 and I had actually set an alarm to go in and take a picture at 2:44 (only for the 1st birthday!) She must have sensed I was coming because this is what I found...

It was actually kind of nice to have a little bonding and reflection time together before the crazy party preparations begin.

Happy Birthday Great-Grandma Cooley!

Today is my Grandma's birthday. She is 87 years young! I'm very lucky to still have my Grandma with us to watch and enjoy another generation of the Cooley family! It will be quite the day tomorrow. She will be celebrating at our house with her 6 great-grandchildren! All of them 3 years or younger!
Happy Birthday Grandma! We love you!
