Happy Father's Day!

My newest creation! With help from my hubby who jokingly suggested the music. But I think it is perfect!

We are celebrating by driving back home from a week long vacation in Pequot Lakes, MN with my family. One of these days I will catch you up with what we have been doing. We have nothing going on the rest of the summer so I should be able to blog a bit. :-) It's been a crazy May and June! But a fun crazy!! :-)

Happy Birthday to my favorite person to share a birthday party with! Growing up we always had a combined birthday for my Grandpa and myself since we were one day appart.

A Little Request

Keep Grandpa in your prayers. He's been keeping everyone on their toes these days. He was in and out of the hospital a few weeks ago first with two blood clots that had to be removed and then just as soon as he got out he was back in again with gallstones. He's been struggling a little to get back to his norm again since he's been home and now has some professional help coming in to assist. Hopefully that will be a great help to him as well as Grandma.

Happy Birthday to .... ME!

Yep, that's right, 30 some years ago....OK.... 35 years ago today at 7:40 AM I came into this world. So I thought for today's post I'd focus a little on something I got to do with my sisters and my mom in May. The 4 of us went on our very first girls weekend trip!

My Mom's friend owns a lodge up in Nisswa, Minnesota called Lost Lake Lodge. It is a wonderful place that has very nice cabins and WONDERFUL food! Well the reason we went up was that Pat, Mom's friend, has an invite only weekend of Wine, Women and Walleye. While we definitely had lots of wine we substituted our walleye for shopping in Nisswa instead. :-) We felt completely spoiled while we were there. We had a happy hour when we first arrived, 4 course, 5 star meals every night and huge breakfast in the mornings, a wine scavenger hunt where Mo and I had to go to find one of our clues in the lake and Meg hiked into the woods with flip flops to find the other only to find out that the wine was under one of our beds! They had a medallion hunt, a wine pairing luncheon and Bingo! We had a blast!

And the boys all did great with the kids...well, Josh cheated... but the other two did great solo.

Birthday plans? Going to lunch at my parents with my sisters too. Celebrating with the kids quickly with Darin fixing me dinner. Then going off to my friend Missy Olson...I mean Bennett's baby shower. :-) Quite a full day!

My Little Girl is Getting SO Big!

Kiley might just beat Riley and Adie at potty training! She has gone potty and poop on the potty this week! She's been telling us when she is about to poop so we asked her tonight if she wanted to go on the potty and she darted upstairs and did it! So Big at 21 months!

By the way have I mentioned lately how much she is talking in full sentences?!! She is just a little parrot! She amazes us!

Happy Anniversary Grandma D and Grandpa Al!

Diane and Al are celebrating their 39th anniversary this 5th of June. Although because it took me so long to get this post up today you will all see it the day after. I'm so sorry!

We want to wish you the best and say thank you for being such wonderful examples to both Darin and I. Your love, warmth and caring attitude toward all who know you is so wonderful to see and be a part of. You are amazing parents, the best in-laws, and awesome grandparents!
