Where did June Go??

I can't believe it's July already. I swear last month went way too fast! It might be because of all of the activities we had going on in June.

We started off the month traveling to Fergus Falls on the 7th. Home of the Fighting Otters.

Diane and her sisters were throwing a Bridal Shower for Darin's cousin, Heather. (Pictures courtesy of Diane).
Aunt Denise, (Mother of the Bride), Aunt Deb, Diane, Grandma Delores, Heather (Bride), Aunt Doreen, and Lindsey, (Sister of the Bride).

We played shower games, including a fun filled purse game as you can see from the pictures below and Heather and Jeff got a lot of nice gifts to start them on their way to creating their happy home.

I was very happy we could make it to the shower because we probably won't make it to the wedding in September up in Fargo.
While Diane and I attended the shower Darin, Zack and Al spent the afternoon at Darin's Uncle Duane's house, (Al's brother) keeping him company while Cindy took Audra to her dance recital. We also stayed with the Bartsch's that night. Zack enjoyed playing with their cat, watching Audra fish and playing at the park.

I can't believe how big Audra is getting. For those of you at our wedding, Audra was our little flower girl. She's now 11!
On Sunday we spent some time with Great-Grandma Delores and Great-Aunties Deb and Doreen, (Great- Aunties to Zack, not Darin).

Then we were off to Cross Lake to meet up with the Schuster's and my parents for a week on Ox Lake.

We had bid on this cabin a couple of years ago at St. Gerard's and finally got around to booking a date. We had a wonderful time there fishing, golfing and shopping.
Monday the boys and I went golfing at Golden Eagle. We've played this course and wanted to play it again. It's got quite a few challenging tee shots for the guys as you can see in their pictures. Mine tended to be a little easier. :-)

Later that day we took Zack down to the dock for his first time fishing with his new fishing pole. Didn't take long for him to catch his first fish!

We also took him for his first boat ride.

Tuesday, the 10th was my birthday. The girls went shopping, (yes, I chose to do this!) and the boys watched the kids. Then we all went out to dinner and then returned to the cabin for ice cream cake.

The rest of the week was spent shopping, fishing, playing and bubble blowing.

We came home from that trip 2 days before Father's day. Father's day we had our traditional tropical BBQ at the Schuster's with Josh's family and ours.

The next weekend we thought we'd go and check out the MN Zoo. They've got a new exhibit there that has bears, wart hogs and otters. It was quite the exhibit. You could see the animals up really close!
Zack loved the zoo.

His favorite part was petting the goats and riding the tractor pulled trailer that took us to the farm animals.
The last weekend in June Zack took Daddy to the Science Museum for part of his Father's day gift. The 3 of us went to see the Star Wars Exhibit. It was very cool to see all of the props and costumes used in the movies and to hear how people came up with the ideas for the sounds of the ships and built the props.

Once Daddy got to see his exibit we took Zack down to see the "Dinadoors!". He loved it!

The next day we went and spent some time with the Rosenau's. It was long overdue!

Zack and Collin stuffing tissue paper up their shirts!

Whew! After posting all of these pictures and then adding in the time spent at the hospital with Grandpa I guess I can see why June went by so fast! Sorry for the very long post!
