Christmas in July! #2 - Bartsch Christmas

Diane and Al came into town in early December to celebrate an early Christmas with us. I somewhat alluded to this in our blog with Uncle Steve and Aunt Barb's visit. You know the one where Zack had Uncle Steve vacuuming (click here to refresh your memory).

We had a great time with them. We took Zack and Kiley to see the Macy's 8th floor show which was "A Day in the Life of an Elf". He was just glued to everything and didn't say much through out the whole exhibit.

Then we took the kids to see Santa. This was Zack's first "mall" Santa.
He's seen Santa at Grandma Trish and Grandpa Tom's house the past two years and last year didn't go too well so I was nervous on how he would do this year. He did really well. He had to have me sit next to him and have his hand on me too but he sat on his lap! He didn't talk to him very much though.
We then went to Macy's food court and had lunch and of course ended with a cookie from the 8th floor show.

We had our Christmas celebration on the 10th of December. We started by baking and decorating some cookies with Zack.

Yummy!

Then we had a nice dinner and opened gifts.

He would open one gift and then right on to the next before the first gift was out of a box.
He got a Zack sized table that has been a huge help and permanent fixture in our kitchen for art projects, putting puzzles together out of Kiley's reach, (before she was pulling her self up on furniture) and gatherings with kids involved. He loved helping Daddy put it together too.
He also got a fun noisy puzzle from the Barry's.
Kiley got clothes and some fun toys too.
Grandma and Grandpa enjoyed their gifts as well.

Batteries! And a pin and updated Grandma birthstone bracelet I made for her.
It was a fun evening and very tiring. :-)
Thank you again Grandma and Grandpa for coming out early and celebrating with us!
