Road Trip to Rugby, North Dakota

On June 19th we started on our first long car trip with two kids, destination, Rugby, North Dakota. And I have to say it went better than expected.

Did you know Rugby is the Geographical Center of North America? Not only that, it is the birth place of Grandpa Al and his 10 brothers and sisters.



The purpose of our trip was Darin's cousin, Brad Fritel's wedding. Now normally Rugby would be an 6-8 hour drive from Plymouth so we decided to break things up a bit. We broke the trip up into two days stopping first in Fargo, North Dakota and staying with Darin's Aunt Denise, (Grandma D's sister) and Uncle Mark.

We actually started the trip on a positive note, with a NAP for Zack!!! He is not napping at home so this had to be documented!

We arrived at Mark and Denise's just in time for dinner but Zack was more interested in playing with their two dogs, Sammy and Sadie. He and the dogs had a blast playing ball and chasing each other outside.

After spending the night in Fargo and being joined by Grandma D and Grandpa Al, Saturday morning we started off for Rugby.

Another nap for sleepy kids who were up at 5:30 am was a good thing before the wedding...
